Team leader – Quality system is responsible for developing, assigning responsibility, implementing and monitoring the site’s Quality Management system.
Job Context & Challenges
Defines and implements the site specific Quality Plan, including Quality Management strategies, direction and policies with the goal of protecting the business, reducing variation and waste, and growing the business.
Pursues efficient development paths and opportunities to drive speed to market;
Ensures new TB product bundles achieve target cost, and works to identify ongoing margin improvement opportunities;
Advocates and drives product, materials, process, and package standardization and simplification;
Coordinates TB bundles development activities across all functions;
Uses a systematic project management approach to share technical data, performance results, product and package evaluations, product timelines, risks and information;
Documents and communicates the technical transfer bundle to the plant floor for efficient implementation;
Ensures the feasibility and robustness of product, packaging, and process designs;
Identifies and implements technical innovation in new TB products;
Applies statistical concepts, packages, and design of experiments
Key Accountabilities
Product Commercialization
Provide guidance to ensure the feasibility and robustness of packaging, product, and process designs
Understands how the interdependencies and interactions of bundle components affect formulation, packaging, and process performance
Demonstrates awareness of industry/competitive trends, consumer insight tools, and claim substantiation
Shares and applies product commercialization lessons learned
Managing Materials and Services
Supports standardization and simplification initiatives for materials, services and finished goods
Understands supplier capabilities to meet cost and Quality targets
Develops mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers
Applies the Supplier Certification/Continuous Improvement Process
Enhance people capability and people flexibility
Training and skill development, Motivate the workforce to achieve Quality objectives.
Customer Service and Logistics
Understands Supply Chain constraints such as product release, manufacturing, distribution, and customer requirements
Understands the Product Recovery and Recall procedure
Contribute to cost saving initiatives
Control material variance, reduce line losses, wastages & train people during the shift to achieve the goal.
Minimum 2 years of experience in FMCG industry with Quality & production management experience.
Preferred Experience : Minimum 2 years Experience in manufacturing and management of materials, safety, Quality and hands on people management in a facility.
Exposed to working in shift with large manpower.
Professional Qualifications & Training
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Science / technical stream from any recognized university.
Preferred -Packaging Engineer with strong knowledge & experience in Tooth brush manufacturing.
Priority setting /Analysis/Decision Making, Planning/teamwork & collaboration, Effective Execution, Influence & negotiation, Set example by leading from front, Good Communication skills.
