The Wiring Harness Engineer performs routine analyses using Electronic Engineering tools and standard instruments and test equipment, positively impacting the organization's performance.
This role involves hands-on experience in assembly processes, design and adaptation of wiring harnesses, and providing test cell, field support.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Operate analytical instruments and equipment, performing physical analysis in support of production and non-production engineering, quality, and manufacturing groups.
+ Conduct and evaluate harness fitment checks.
+ Provide on-site assistance for wiring harness issues.
+ Perform failure analysis on field-returned parts.
+ Interface with customers, suppliers, engineers, and other functions.
+ Coordinate programs including planning, scheduling, ordering, and tracking.
+ Perform other duties as required.
**Key Technical Requirements:**
1.
Wiring Harness Assembly Experience: Hands-on experience in assembly processes.
2.
Wire Harness Development and Modification: Ability to design and adapt wiring harnesses internally.
3.
Component Knowledge: Familiarity with wiring harness components, wire types, and their selection criteria.
4.
Fit Check Expertise: Capability to conduct and evaluate harness fitment checks.
5.
Low Voltage Circuitry Knowledge: Understanding of low-voltage circuits and the ability to troubleshoot related issues.
6.
Schematic Reading: Proficiency in interpreting wiring harness and schematic drawings.
7.
Field Support Readiness: Willingness and ability to provide on-site assistance for wiring harness issues.
8.
Teardown Analysis Skills: Ability to perform failure analysis on field-returned parts.
9.
Lab Inventory Management: Experience in maintaining and managing lab inventory effectively.
